Fire Safety Engineers – Dublin
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy for a Fire Safety Engineer (and Senior Fire Safety Engineer) to join their team in Dublin.
This is an opportunity to work on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, including Transport, Leisure, Educational, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, Storage, and Residential, for both public and private clients.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will assist in Fire Safety Engineering design and monitoring of building and site development projects.
Graduate Engineers and those with relevant experience will be considered for Fire Safety Engineer. Candidates with extensive experience will be considered for Senior Fire Safety Engineer.
Salary offered will be determined on an individual basis depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of fire safety strategies from project inception to completion.
- Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and documentation.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and surveys of existing buildings.
- Undertake site inspections as required under BC(A)R 2014.
- Review contractor and design team proposals and assess material submittals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Develop and maintain professional networks with colleagues and clients.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (Level 8) in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent.
- MSc in Fire Safety Engineering (preferred).
- Relevant postgraduate experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
- Knowledge of fire safety design, Irish legislation, and construction technology.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent presentation and client-facing abilities.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport required.
- Preference will be given to candidates whose qualifications allow them to attain Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland.
